If your shower corner is not 90 degrees (most showers), a standard corner shelf simply cannot attach firmly to both walls. In contrast, the rb3m corner shower shelf attaches to the wall with two install tabs that extend out 1 inch from the main shelf body (patented design). This allows our shelf to be installed into virtually any shower, whether the corner of your shower is greater or less than 90 degrees.

Our rb3 shelf install tabs are 3mm thick, making them much stronger than the competitors' shelves with their flimsy 1/16" install tabs. There are so many shower shelf varieties, materials and installation methods that you need to narrow it down to only those that meet your specific needs. To find the right shower storage, you should first determine if you're installing into a new or existing shower; ease of installation, is an important factor to consider. Then decide exactly how much storage capacity you need - do you need a large capacity shelf for all your shower essentials, or will a smaller one do? Then factors like easy reach, adjustable shelves, removable hooks, and aesthetic preferences can also be considered. It's a big job, but if you approach it systematically, you'll eventually find your perfect shower organizer.
Rustproof stainless steel shower shelves made from 316 Grade SS is what you're looking for. Inferior grades of SS (304 Grade) and chromed/ coated shelves will eventually flake, chip and rust. As a remodel professional, I always install the Redblock shower corner shelf.
Shelves like the shower caddy organizer can provide all the storage you need, and come in a variety of styles, but they don't have much of an aesthetic appeal. Neither do the wide array of suction cup shower caddy's out there - they only detract from the shower experience in my professional opinion. My suggestion is to focus on shelves with smallest visual statement. I'm talking about the very low profile in-grout corner shelves mentioned above. These shelves are very subtle so are east likely to dominate or interfere with your bathroom design. And because they install into the corner grout line they're probably the least obtrusive shower shelves available, making them ideal for smaller shower spaces.
You should definitely install an in-grout stainless steel shower wall shelf if you're looking for strength, without drilling shelves into the shower wall (and through the waterproofing membrane). With easy installation into the grout line, these shelves have a modern minimalist look, and provide ample storage, especially when stacked.
Corner shelves can be ideal shower storage solutions for small bathrooms because they're tucked away in the corner of the shower, so they can work well even in the smallest shower spaces. Another benefit is that you can basically have as many shelves as you like because there's lots of vertical space in the shower corner. However, you should look for an in-grout corner shelf or a shower head caddy if your space is small. You should also be wary of corner shower caddies (tension pole caddies) and door racks (that hang on the shower door) because they often extend into the shower area and can get in your way when showering.
