As shower remodel professionals, my brother & I have installed A LOT of shower shelf products over the years. We found that most were poorly designed, poorly constructed, and made from substandard materials. As such, we decided to design a complete stainless steel shower storage solution that installs between the studs of your shower wall during a remodel. And the N1014-m shower niche was born. This was the very first of our custom designed shower shelf products, and one of our proudest accomplishments.
Look no further. Since the Redblock shower niche installs between the studs of your shower wall, it’s completely recessed shower storage. You don’t need to worry about about bumping into it while showering, or needing to install it only in the shower corner.
Want to avoid the cost & complication of a tiled niche?The Redblock shower niche is a completely finished shower storage solution that installs in minutes, and requires no tiling. There’s 3.5 inches above the shelf, and 10.5 inches below, it offers a ton of storage area as well as a brushed stainless steel finish that’s much easier to maintain than tile and grout.
Unhappy about your bar soap slipping away, or simply melting away?The rounded drainage slots on our integrated niche shelf were designed to solves both problems, while still being easy to clean.
Tired of the moldy soap scum buildup in the back corner of your niche shelf?Since the shelf in the Redblock shower niche only attaches to the sides of the niche box, a 1/2 inch gap remains behind the shelf. This eliminates soap scum buildup in the back corners of your niche shelf, AND makes it super easy to clean!
Worried about rust?The Redblock shower niche is constructed entirely from super corrosion resistant, low carbon, 316L stainless steel. The recent increase in the use of chlorinated shower cleaning products, AND the corrosive effects of hard water on standard 304 Grade stainless steel has motivated us to make this change to 316L Grade stainless.
Stressed about installation?The Redblock stainless steel shower niche was designed to be a seamless and waterproof installation. We created the M-Block™ mounting flange to allow your surrounding porcelain wall tiles to match perfectly with our integrated tile trim. This amazing flange also integrates with your shower wall waterproofing membrane, behind your tiles for extra security and confidence. We also welded our shelf into the body of the niche to maintain waterproof integrity.
Tired of the sharp edges and crude finish of most stainless steel shower shelf products?Redblock has created a new standard of shower niche shelf finishing: CNC chamfering. This technique creates ultra smooth, burr-free edges on all shelf edges and cutouts. Another reason why the Redblock niche will exceed your expectations.

Canadian orders: We offer $16 flat rate shipping for shelf orders of < 26 units. $16/each for shower niches. (via FedEx Ground International).
Please allow approx. 1 week for delivery after tracking number is received. We cannot guarantee delivery times, but we’ve found that shipments to BC have taken as little as two days for some orders.
We currently do not offer any expedited shipping options for Canadian orders.

Shower Niche FAQ
Q: Does the lower shelf have a slope?
A: Yes, the bottom of our shower niches have a 1 degree slope outwards to prevent water pooling.
Q: Will my soap slip off the shelf on the N1014?
A: No. All our niches with shelves have slots in them to prevent your soap from slipped off. However, it may slip off the bottom level of the niche due to its slope. This level is best used for shampoo bottles, etc.
Q: How do you install tile on your shower niche?
A: Our niches are already finished with an attractive brushed stainless steel finish so no tiling is required. You may be confusing our niche with one of the various prefabricated niche boxes that are available on the market that requires tile to be installed on their surface.
Q: When you mention “built in tile edge trim” on your shower niches, what are you referring to?
A: We are referring to the raised 1/2″ wide flange that surrounds the niche perimeter. Your shower wall tile gets installed right over top of the mounting flange so this raised area serves as a tile trim around the niche perimeter.
Q: Does your shower niche come in any other colors or finishes?
A: At the moment we only offer our shower niches in a brushed stainless steel finish.
Q: What is 316 stainless steel? And what is the difference between 316 and 304 stainless steel?
A: 316 stainless steel is one of the most corrosion-resistant types of steel available. It’s more rare and costly than 304 SS due to its molybdenum content, which provides its superior corrosion resistance. 304 SS is still very corrosion resistant but it does not perform well when exposed to more corrosive cleaning agents like chlorine bleach. 304 SS is used in virtually all consumer products including appliances, kitchen sinks, cookware and bathroom fixtures.
Q: Can I order a custom sized niche?
A: No, currently we are not building any custom niches. However, we are planning to create one or two more niche models in the near future. You can join our mailing list if you’d like to stay informed about new products.
